Significance by Shelly Crane

Read from July 29 to 30, 2013
 4 Stars

I really enjoyed this book. It was a very different approach on the paranormal or supernatural. Loved the whole concept of the "Imprinting". It was amazing watching our 2 main characters fall for each other and begin their relationship in the midst of their "bond". We had to have our bad guy, and a threat to our heroine, of course. It always serves to make the relationship stronger that the bad guy is trying to destroy. We're meant to think he's gone or at least "taken care of" and yet we know that he'll return. Going to be interesting watching how this relationship plays out and how our 2 main characters can stay together at a beach house with the 2 ppl of the family that want to keep them apart. I would LOVE to see this as the beginning of the imprint phenomenon returning. It would make me sooooooo happy if Bish (Heroine's brother) and Jen (hero's sister) would imprint on each other. Then Bish could be in on the secret too. There are 4 books in this series and I totally plan on reading and devouring and reviewing every single one of them.

 READ IT AND LOVE IT!

Vampire Academy #1 by Richelle Mead

Read from July 19 to 23, 2013
3 stars

I only began enjoying this book at page 280 or so....close to the end, but boy did it pick up when all the pieces fell together! I'll continue on with the series now that its captured my interest! The reason i had just a hard time getting into this book is because most of the pieces were withheld until the end when the "past" is finally revealed, i like adventure and fast pace, and this took a while to get there... but when it did - oh boy! I also had a very hard time identifying with Rose and since she's the main character that was kind of a problem, lol. But her personality came around and as i came to understand her it was easier to like the book as well. I'll definitely read on and i hope the action and adventure won't hold back so long in the following books of the series.

If you read it I hope you love it too!

Book Review Requests

Please feel free to request a book for me to read and review. Eventually over the next month I plan on posting as many of my completed reviews as possible. :D Becky

Crushing by Elena Dillion

Elena, THANK YOU for this amazing book.

I gave this book 5 stars and I really believe it deserves every single one of them. When a well written book actually gets a physical reaction out of me, I know it is deserving of a great rating. This is the story of a girl whose childhood crush moves home. The ensuing drama is amazing. Besides boy drama, there is also the threat of kidnapping with other girls going missing. The result is her life basically on lock-down and how she handles all of it. I loved watching her discover herself and make her choices... It was great. I also loved her brothers. The only thing I would have liked would be a wrap up to the Veronica Jackson situation, but that's not central to the story - just my curiosity! LOL. Basically what I am saying is if you like YA romance with a bit of adventure mixed in, then this book is for you! READ IT AND LOVE IT!

 Book Finished 7/12/13 - 5 Stars
